Capitals Plan to Keep Franchise Healthy

The Washington Capitals are planning on competing for the Stanley Cup for years to come.

However, we will not be going the route that so many GMs have taken in the past, where we end up with no picks in the next 2 drafts, no decent prospects and a set of assets that will only be helpful for 4 or 5 seasons.

All the players are available for trade talk except for Ovechkin unless another franchise player is coming back. The Capitals fans do not deserve to have their heart and soul taken from them so their GM can acquire a fountain of youth and picks and prospects.

I would like to talk trades and Mike Green is available tentatively. There is an offer that is currently being discussed and even if you beat it I won't agree yet because I have a specific plan.

I am not looking to try and make one rip off deal after another with no plan in place. I want GMs to know that I am here for honest trade talk.
