Chicago Breaks Wind Empty Chicago Breaks Wind

Rumour has it that Chicago has finally pulled the trigger on a deal. While sources aren't sure what the deal is, insiders say it involves a couple of prolific wingers and some salary cutting.

In other news, goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin has agreed to take a significant paycut...his contract now a $2M (3) after being given a $5.25M bribe.

The Chicago camp is letting it be known that centre --and team Captain-- Jonathan Toews is under no circumstances available...unless they'd be idiots to turn the deal down. People close to the GM state that unless the name 'Mike Richards' comes up, losing Toews is not likely to ever be an issue. As for Patrick Kane, the GM has said that he's not opposed to moving the young, speedy winger...but insists that he will not be giving him away for prospects. If Kane moves, it will be to upgrade or acquire someone more to the GM's liking. Rumblings insist that he's being dangled for Anaheim winger, Bobby Ryan...though so far there's no legs to those rumours.

Chicago seems to be a little shallow on the left side, and aren't happy with their depth at D....so they will be looking to rectify that. If you think you can help, and you can find him...well, you know the drill.
